Unkind Women 2015 - Korean Series
This drama is about four women spanning three generations in the same family, who have warm-blooded temperaments. Thirty years ago, when her husband died in an accident, Kang Sunuk raised her teenage daughters alone. With the help of a talented young student named Park Yunsil, he became famous for his cooking classes. The older daughter, Hyun Joong, eventually became a famous news anchor. She has worked hard and never married, but as the story begins, things are changing as her boss favors younger women. Sonok's second daughter, Hyunseok, was more interested in pop music than her schoolwork, and earned a strong dislike from her teacher. He got expelled from school due to a series of incidents, got married and had a daughter named Jung Marie at a young age. She made her child's success a priority in her life, and Marie studied hard to get her doctorate in Korean literature before she turned 30. As the drama begins, Hyunseok is desperate to earn more money to help his family, but things don't go well. He befriends a rich woman named Zhang Moran, who becomes deeply involved with the family. Moran is elegant and rich, but he's kept a secret for 30 years - but can or should secrets be kept forever? Jang Moran is not the only woman who enters the family's struggling life. Na Hyeonae, teacher of the year award winner and a caring mother, shows up and is none other than the one who ruined Hyunsuk's life. Hyunseok vows to force himself to apologize to this woman - a mission that turns out to be not so easy. Meanwhile, Hyunseok's estranged husband does his best to help quietly, while three men with the same last name, Lee, also become an important part of the women's lives.
